Benchmark Vehicles is a premium adventure van builder in SE Portland. We are known for building made-for-you adventure vehicles that are comfortable, capable and elegantly designed. We're passionate about what we do and have set the benchmark for quality and collaboration. We're looking for two skilled craftspeople to join our team, to help us build exceptional escapes for our clients while promoting the best of the #vanlife experience.

Position Available: Install Center Technician


Help shape the ongoing success of a rapidly-growing company in one of the most adventurous industries on the planet. Benchmark Vehicles builds people's escapes, and we are looking to add to our team! We seek an install center technician who brings a diverse skill set to the table and thrives in fast-paced, complex and client-focused production environments.


The Install Center at Benchmark Vehicles is one of the most exciting divisions of our custom shop. Your hands on experience and attention to detail will be an asset in our exterior modifications shop. The Install Center Technician does things like connect lights and ladders.


Required skills:

·     Familiarity with bolt on aftermarket accessories such as bumpers, racks, ladders, winches, skid plates and suspension upgrades.

·     Familiarity with cutting out sheet metal panels and installing windows

·     12 Volt wiring using, solar installs, exterior off road lighting wiring, 

·     Experience with van up-fitting building a plus.

·     Tidy work that is precise, organized and cleanly executed.

·     Ability to manage deadlines and expectations on several jobs at once

·     Crosscheck orders and receive items upon delivery

·     Maintain up to date inventory receivables and be accountable for quality control

·     Overall project awareness and self directed initiative to correctly complete tasks

·     Customer service experience and confidence handling client facing interactions
